Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 26, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 26, 2016

Death. The word brings fear into the hearts of even the stoutest of people. he subject has been explored by the greatest minds of our time and throughout history. Yet, the fact remains, we face death all too often for our comfort. Never is it a welcome visitor at our doorstep.

5 Great Reads for Fall

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 20, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 20, 2016

I’ve not done a ton of reading lately, but I thought with fall approaching and kids in school, maybe we needed some ideas of books to read. Some of these will be old favorites, others will be new, and one will not be released until Oct 10th.

Will You Choose to Remember and Focus on God?

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 12, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 12, 2016

Yesterday, we looked at the point in time where the Isrealites had left and had their backs up against the sea. I find it ironic that on a day where the class focused on remember being a key factor in our spiritual walk, nothing was said about what day it was. Fifteen years ago the life of every single American changed.

What Is Wrong with Grey Hair?

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 5, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 5, 2016

This last week, I saw a post about grey hair. The discussion was for women on looking natural and embracing who they were at any age. As the Facebook discussion moved along, I realized the arguments really had nothing to do with the color of hair, but about how each person perceived age and beauty.

4 Ways to Have an Amazing School Year

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on August 29, 2016 by Kandi J WyattAugust 29, 2016

From the Facebook posts filling my feed, I understand it’s that time of year again. For the past several weeks, I’ve seen the first day of school photos and been realizing my summer is rapidly winding down. With that in mind, I’m reminded of the conflict that seems to exist between teachers and parents. What can you do to have an amazing school year?

It’s a Book Birth!

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on August 23, 2016 by Kandi J WyattAugust 23, 2016

I’ve waited for Dragon’s Cure to have a wider audience for ten years now. I originally wrote it at the request of my daughter, Dawnya. She wanted a story with Duskya in it. The story unfolded with the idea of a dragon rider who didn’t want to be a rider. The two stories intertwine to create my personal favorite of the Dragon Courage series. Duskya’s daughter, Carryn, learns about growing up; while Serena struggles to find people she can trust.

Dragon’s Future is One-year-old: Time for a Sale

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on August 21, 2016 by Kandi J WyattAugust 21, 2016

Believe it or not, it’s actually been a year since Dragon’s Future released. I’ve learned a lot over the course of the year. I’ve seen two more books join the Dragon Courage series and a stand alone Christian Historical Fiction was added to my author bookshelf. I went from being published by a publisher to completely Indie published. I’ve gained a ton of friends and fans. It’s been a wonderful year.

Outstanding Trip Brings to Mind Wonderful Stories

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on August 18, 2016 by Kandi J WyattAugust 18, 2016

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a week since I roamed Yellowstone Park with my 19-year-old son, Robin. Our trip was so much fun. We explored the country, had the opportunity to meet people I’d only met online, and see family. You can read about it in my last post. On that 6,496 mile trek, I learned a lot about my own writing and the Dragon Courage series.

Fantasy Meets Reality and Imagination is Stirred

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on August 14, 2016 by Kandi J WyattAugust 15, 2016

Epic fantasy generally follows a specific plot pattern called the hero’s round. In this plot, the hero (or heroin) is called to an adventure. She leaves her doorstep and takes that first step on a journey that could change her world. These last two weeks, I have been on my own journey. I left home on Friday, July 28 with a Tetris style packing job in the back of my little Toyota Yaris. My son, Robin, was my traveling companion.

Interview with Noah

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on August 3, 2016 by Kandi J WyattAugust 3, 2016

I may look like a hero, but I don’t have that soldier kind of courage. The battles I’ve fought are inside me. And they have been daunting. And maybe the greatest act of courage I’ve ever shown is the kind anyone can demonstrate—facing your greatest personal fear.
