The darklands vary from dusk to pure dark ruled only by the two moons Handi (large and white) and Tsiki (small and purple). Wood is precious and expensive due to the trek of getting it there, while stone is a common building material. Instead of day and night, moonsteps, or steps, keep the rhythm of life.

In southeastern Cahar, wooly ducks are grown for their wool. The creatures are kept in flocks and guarded by man and dog. The rolling hills of the area around Coll are mostly peaceful, but the Hameentaj empire is slowly encroaching. Traveling on dragonback makes a country much smaller than riding horseback. Muintir and Hameentaj are at war, with battlefields spread across both countries, but mainly Muintir. The clans, once united into a fledgling country, are desperate to fight, but that will depend on who their leader is.

Two sides to a planet

The Frozen North

Storeheltur is as far north as humanly possible to live on the frozen side of a tidal locked planet. Buried in caverns deep within the ground, they survive on mining copper and other precious gems. Toppur, what the people call the frozen land above them is in constant darkness broken only by the moons—Handi the large white, and Tsiki the small purple.

The Burnt South

The Inferno Trail is a gorge cut into the earth ages ago, but with its east to west orientation, it makes it perfect for survival on the hot and dry side of the brightlands of this tidally locked planet. The clans that dwell along the trail are hardy people who survive by farming a wheat-like crop that grows with water supplied from an underground river—the remnants of the original.

Anthologies

Anthologies are short stories compiled together around a specific theme. The others are devotionals where believers have seen Biblical principles in anime. I’ve been blessed to have five accepted in the three volumes.
