My newest series, Sovereigns, is one that takes place on a tilted planet where the north is cold and dark–always–and the south is full of sun and extreme heat all the time! There’s a just right section that enables food to grow. There are currently 10 books and one flash fiction (viewable when Havok is open for free or with a membership) set in Four Stars over Ardatz, and I’m sure there will be more.

The Sovereigns info

Four sovereigns. Two dragons. One kingdom. Peace evades all of them, but through it all, they’ll fight for family and their place in the history of Muintir—or die trying.

Muintir is in Atsegena, the just right side of Ardatz.

A short story, Festival of Stars, takes place three months before the series begins. You can find it on my blog.

Bright Lands

Uprooted, book 1

Sold as a slave. Uprooted from home. 18-year-old Hest must decide where his loyalties lie. Among castle intrigue and kingdom infighting, staying alive is no longer as easy as he once thought.

Blessed, book 2

Squire. Dragon rider. Future king? Not if an evil mage has anything to say about it. Hest will do what it takes to protect his new home and his betrothed.

Exalted, book 3 (pre-order available)

Dragon King. Hest’s dreams are as disturbing as dealing with the council. When an enemy comes for revenge, he must choose between his desire to protect his family or himself.

Battle Lines

Determined, book 4

Being queen to the dragon king has more pressures than 18-year-old Siobhan had expected—and her husband’s one of them. When he marches to war, she’s left with the baby and a palace guard for protection. When he returns, she doesn’t recognize him.

Resolved, book 5

A queen must brave all. Her husband deserted her, leaving her with a four-month-old and the kingdom. The kingdom’s easy, but protecting her daughter is harder and may require the ultimate sacrifice.

Divided, book 6

Born the dragon king’s daughter, 16-year-old Mairead had the crown thrust upon her six years ago. Under the tutelage of her mage and captain of the palace guard, she’s grown, but wants more. Why can’t she love a prince? But loving the prince of Lochlann comes with a price tag—her heritage and the power that goes with it.

Bonded Crowns

Appointed, book 7

When 17-year-old Shawnahur helps a dragon, his fate is altered and the chief takes him under his wing. But the chief’s jealousy may mean Shawnahur’s death.

Ascended, book 8

Dragon king. Shawnahur has finally accepted the title, but will his father-in-law allow him any peace? If the Hameentaj don’t kill him, the king’s bound and determined to do the deed himself.
