A Song for the Ages
While at the Good Friday service last night, we sang the song “O Sacred Head Now Wounded”. It was written in the 12th Century. The idea of all those believers down through the ages singing this song hit me. I began to think about it. I did some research on the song, some family research, and some history research and came up with this piece. It isn’t really a poem, and it’s not true prose. It is a format called Collage. I received the idea when I attended the South Coast Writer’s Conference in Gold Beach this February. Our teacher Elena Passarello from Oregon State University taught us how to write collage writing.
