Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on October 30, 2016 by Kandi J WyattOctober 30, 2016

When fantasy focuses on fear, dark magic, and evil over good, then it’s time to reevaluate if I should be reading it.

4 Secrets for Planning an Awesome Family Night

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on October 17, 2016 by Kandi J WyattOctober 17, 2016

Fall is my mom’s favorite time of the year. She pulls out her leaves, pumpkins, and scarecrows and decorates the house. Probably because of this background, when the weather turns rainy and cool, I want to go inside and curl up with candles and a warm fire. It’s this weather that calls to me for family nights.

Sampler of the best hot drink on earth

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on October 8, 2016 by Kandi J WyattFebruary 6, 2017

I don’t know when I was first introduced to tea, but I do know it was early on in life. Both tea and coffee were staples in our home. Just this morning, my daughter chatted with me about tea as she poured herself a cup of coffee. Her idea of a cup of hot tea is for relaxing with a book on a day off. I tend to agree with her. However, I have a lot of other teas as well.

Can my focus be contentment even as I age?

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on October 3, 2016 by Kandi J WyattOctober 2, 2016

Several weeks ago, I wrote a blog about growing old gracefully and whether or not to dye grey hair. The weeks that followed caused me to rethink my thoughts. It started with something simple, face cream.

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 30, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 30, 2016

If I was still teaching Wednesday nights, I’d definitely pick up Annie Douglass Lima’s Hide it in Your Heart coloring book. Not only does it have memory verses and puzzles to help kids memorize the verses, it was designed for a specific school’s curriculum to help the kids learn the Bible verses.

5 Great Reads for Fall

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 20, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 20, 2016

I’ve not done a ton of reading lately, but I thought with fall approaching and kids in school, maybe we needed some ideas of books to read. Some of these will be old favorites, others will be new, and one will not be released until Oct 10th.

Will You Choose to Remember and Focus on God?

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 12, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 12, 2016

Yesterday, we looked at the point in time where the Isrealites had left and had their backs up against the sea. I find it ironic that on a day where the class focused on remember being a key factor in our spiritual walk, nothing was said about what day it was. Fifteen years ago the life of every single American changed.

What Is Wrong with Grey Hair?

Author Kandi J Wyatt Posted on September 5, 2016 by Kandi J WyattSeptember 5, 2016

This last week, I saw a post about grey hair. The discussion was for women on looking natural and embracing who they were at any age. As the Facebook discussion moved along, I realized the arguments really had nothing to do with the color of hair, but about how each person perceived age and beauty.
