Thanks, Galit. I guess, I learned early in life how much words matter. In sixth grade, I was the outcast when I moved in the middle of the year to a small rural school district. I moved from Tacoma, Washington, to a small town in Iowa. To make matters worse, I couldn’t say I moved from Washington, because there was a town just a few minutes away named Washington!

I think kids can be the worst, but it may feel worse coming from adults who should know better.

I really love that pin and so agree–our words do matter and make an impact so we should, indeed, choose them wisely!
