I am a self-taught artist who was introduced to pencils in the late 1980’s by my sister.  I set pencils down by the ’90’s and didn’t touch them until 2009 when I started writing The Dragon Courage series.  I enjoy mainly graphite and colored pencils but am branching out to watercolor pencils and pastels.  My best critic is my husband.  He has helped me to improve drastically over the years. www.deviantart.com has been a great help in providing inspiration, tutorials, and friendships.  A local gallery, Art by the Sea, has provided classes, Plein Air experience and friendships as well.
